Black Volume

redefining career, one masterpiece at a time

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, creators and dreamers!

As the clock struck midnight, we didn’t just turn a page. We opened an entirely new sketchbook. 2025 was a year of “firsts” for Black Volume—our first Brunch Club, the debut of Gabtap Comics, and seeing The Fiery Champion and Tyler Harrison take their places on the shelves. But if last year was about laying the foundation, 2026 is about building the masterpiece.

To kick off January, many of us are doing what we love most: visualizing. There is a unique, tactile joy in creating a Vision Board. And what better time is it to make one than now, January, while everything is still fresh and preparing for a new start. A vision board is a manifestation of your creative hunger. Whether you’re pinning up character concepts, color palettes for a new series, or snippets of dialogue that haunt your dreams, a vision board serves as your “North Star.”

In the world of indie publishing and art, the journey can be long and grueling. Having that visual reminder—that “Embers” of an idea—pinned to your wall reminds you why you started. It turns the abstract “I want to create” into a concrete “This is what I will build.”

A sneak peek into our board for 2026:

More events, more gatherings, collaborations, partnerships, and more fun.

What about you? What is the centerpiece of your 2026 Vision Board? Is it finishing that first chapter? Nailing a new art style? Or finally launching your own brand?

Let’s make this the year we stop just dreaming and start manifesting through our craft.

Happy 2026! Let’s keep redefining careers, one masterpiece at a time.

P.S. We’d love to see your actual vision boards before January ends.
