1. Acceptance of Terms

By becoming a member, registering for an event, or otherwise engaging with Black Volume, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or, if a minor, have received parental or guardian consent to use our services. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Services and Membership

A. Scope of Services: Black Volume provides services focused on redefining careers through creative endeavors, including:

  • Workshops and educational content.
  • Creative networking events, social gatherings, and art markets.
  • Sale of creative merchandise and publications (“Shop”).
  • Community platforms and online resources.

B. Membership: Membership may require the payment of a fee (if applicable, details will be provided separately). Membership grants access to certain benefits, including priority registration, discounts, or exclusive content, as defined by Black Volume. We reserve the right to approve, deny, or revoke membership at our sole discretion.

3. User Conduct

Black Volume Content: All content, including text, graphics, logos, event names, and the Black Volume brand itself, is the property of Black Volume and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. B. Member Content: You retain all ownership rights to the creative works, portfolios, or content you submit or share at Black Volume events or on our platforms. By sharing content, you grant Black Volume a limited, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote that content solely in connection with the event or service for which it was submitted (e.g., promoting a vendor at an Art Mart).

5. Event and Workshop Policies

A. Registration: Event and workshop registrations are subject to availability and may require advance payment. B. Cancellations and Refunds: All cancellation and refund policies are specific to each event and will be stated on the registration page. Generally, payments for workshops and events are non-refundable unless specified otherwise. C. Liability: You acknowledge that participation in physical events may involve inherent risks. Black Volume is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property sustained while participating in our events, unless caused by gross negligence on our part.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Black Volume makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the services, or the content provided therein.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Black Volume, its affiliates, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the services; or (iii) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page or through other reasonable means. Your continued use of the services after the changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
