North Hobby Expo 2025: Geeks and Gamers Gathering in the North

Now in its 6th year, the North Hobby Expo transformed the Baguio Country Club into a haven for geeks, gamers, artists, and collectors from October 3 to 5, 2025. Powered by the renowned ToyCon PH, the three-day affair promised an unforgettable weekend of shared passions, communities, and exciting finds.

The 6th North Hobby Expo served as a showcase of varied interests within the hobbyist community. Attendees immersed themselves in a hall filled with over a hundred confirmed merchants and booths. These exhibitors offered goods, from toys and action figures to art, collectibles, and tabletop gaming. Whether you’re a seasoned collector hunting for a rare exclusive or a casual enthusiast looking for new interests, the expo offered something to spark joy for all ages.

Despite the storm on the first day, exhibitors, visitors, and special guests were present. The event still went on with the Indie Writers’ Talk where four writers graced the audience with their published works and insights regarding publishing and being an indie writer.

It was followed by Mike Espiritu and Faith Acumin’s performance and they indeed were a unified voice that is not only charming but also captivating.

Rover Tactics presented about their outdoor survival products but focused on flashlights which is a necessity, especially in Baguio where blackout is normal. The crowd hyped up with Rover Tactics when the lights went out later in the afternoon due to the storm.

The second day was filled with music performances, from Mike and Faith Duo to Adobo Nihon and The Sugarpaps. Their voices and their instruments echoed in the Cordillera International Convention Hall, making the whole venue warm and lively.

The event will not be complete without the famous North Hobby Run on the final day. Approximately 300 runners not only enjoyed the mountain air and breathtaking views, but they also had the opportunity to roam around the booths as early as 8:00AM.

While a lot is simultaneously happening around the Baguio Country Club, Raike Zannate, an animator from Pangasinan shared his experiences, accomplishments, and ongoing projects through an animation discussion at the CICH. Filipinos are truly talented, we just need to share them with the world.

The last afternoon was packed, especially because of the Cosplay Competition. It was a sight to see, with cosplayers improving every year. One of our faves though is Claude Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame. Some of us were surprised that a lot of people does not know the character and the movie! #childhoodmemories #feelingold

The 6th North Hobby Expo proved that the thrill of collecting and sharing hobbies is thriving in the City of Pines. It was a well-organized celebration of geek culture, drawing people from across the region and the country to the cool climate of Baguio for a weekend of camaraderie and fun.
